Another Helpful Rain Tip

One thing that would also be good to pack is some newspapers. An old trick from years of running cross country is that nothing dries wet shoes faster than newspaper. Considering how wet it will be, we’ll all end up with soaking wet shoes at some point or another. When that happens, pull the liners out of your shoes and stuff in a few sheets of a newspaper (3-4 is the average for me, but it depends on shoe size). Switch the sheets out every 1-2 hours and after about 2 or 3 rounds your shoes will be perfectly dry.
